lights!

We are trying to decided between two lights to have over our kitchen bench. I think I am liking the first one more - it is made from rattan with an inner tube.

We borrowed the two lights we like to see how they look. There will obviously be two pendants over the bench.

Thoughts are welcome!!!!

More kitchen

Here we have the unit we had made up to store wine, the microwave, cookbooks and the kettle and toaster.
Front on - we are pretty pleased with it.

the whole picture :)

I love the bi-fold door as opposed to those awful roller doors.

A side view of our handles.

Spa and kitchen

Here is our lovely working spa bath - can't wait to use it~!

Love this spout.

Here is our downstairs bathroom and functioning toilet :)

This is the laundry looking towards the back door and you can see the huge cupboard on the right which has shelves all down one side and a long open section on the right for the ironing board, brooms etc

The other side of the laundry.

Our lovely kitchen!! This is our three metre bench.

The 6 "secret" cupboards

Our great pot drawers.

The Oliveri sink

The quantum quartz benchtops being weighted down over night.

Tada! With the benchtops on. So Alpine White QQ - 60mm the whole way round.

Very happy with the waterfall edge.

Lots of light being reflected.

Needs to be plumbed and then we can get the appliances in.

The sink in situ.

The (almost) finished product.

The Kitchen

Our kitchen has finally gone in!!

We settled on natural white for the cupboards and our benchtops will be Caesarstone "Snow"
We are sourcing our benchtops separately so we can shop around. Also, now that the carcass is in situ, when the stone masons measure up they will be more accurate than just off the plan.

Our breakfast bench is 3m long and has lovely deep pot drawers. We also have "secret" doors on the other side.

Looking out towards the alfresco area and backyard.

We are pretty happy with it so far. Very much looking forward to getting the benchtops on.

Our rosegum floors

Yay! Our floors are going down. This is how much they got done in just over a day. I am so impressed. For once, we seem to have reliable tradesmen who turn up when they say they will and work quickly.

Here is the rosegum laid over the bridge to the media room.

And the floor in the media room

a close up of the timber. I am really happy with it. It has lovely depth and although Standard Grade, is of a high quality. I really do like the odd character feature in it.

The family room

The hallway from the kitchen to the formal lounge

The study, which is half done

The formal lounge waiting to be done

MORE PICS

So, we are slowly making progress, although Chris now has to go away for three weeks for work - not negotiable. Not only does this delay us (again) but he will also miss my birthday, mum's 60th and, most importantly, Immie's 1st bIrthday! NOT HAPPY! :(

here is our lovely staircase up to the media room.

Our vanities are in now although still need to be plumbed. This is our ensuite - the spa is to the right and behind me is the double shower.

This is the main bathroom vanity

The guest room vanity

The library - the first room to be painted.

Climbing her new stairs - note the proud expression :)
