CLEAN UP DAY! JULY 2012

So here we are having a clean up day!!! Moving is hopefully only a few weeks away now. Hurrah!! Here are a few pics from today.

March update

So, you know the story, still not in etc etc but we are making some progress and here are some recent pics.

 This is the bathroom off the laundry and garage - i am so pleased with how this looks.

 Another pic of the walk in pantry. So can't wait to have all this space for all the bits and pieces I have....

So next stop is another trip to Ikea to go some more items such as hand rail towels and so on.

Happy New Year??

Well, I can't believe how long its been since I last posted. It is now 2012 and despite all our best intentions to be in the house....well, we are not :(

Why the delay? To be honest, its impossible to point to one factor. It seems to be a combination of things. A big issue is the people that we have helping us, whilst doing great work, seem to be "part time" in that they frequently go off to do other jobs. So it feels to me that we have no continuity. There may not be that much left to do, but we don't seem able to get a good run on it.

However, every day something small is achieved and, although it may be small, its still a step towards being in (so I keep telling myself).

Next week our WIRs and walk in pantry are going in so I will post some pics once that's done.

We are trying to decided between two lights to have over our kitchen bench. I think I am liking the first one more - it is made from rattan with an inner tube.

We borrowed the two lights we like to see how they look. There will obviously be two pendants over the bench.
