Fox!!

I was at the house yesterday meeting some tradies to give us floor board quotes and what should I see out the study window??? A fox! Bold as can be, making his way to the creek and then across. Forgive the quality of the pics but they were taken with my phone and he was well across the other side of the creek by the time I got the phone out.

This is the ensuite to the guest room - small but functional!
This is the view from the bifold kitchen window.
Here is Imogen.
And one more of Munchkin :)

And a few more....

This is my library. Can't wait to get all of my books in here. Perhaps my favourite room? There will be floor to ceiling bookcases the whole way along the left side. There is a balcony just outside the french doors.
These are the temporary stairs looking back towards the front door from our family room area. We are in the process of getting quotes for stairs at the moment.
This is the family room area, as viewed from the bottom of the stairs. You can see the two stacker doors and the dining area is to the left
And this is my formal lounge - my other favourite room! It has extra high ceilings and feels so lovely and peaceful. This will be my kid free zone. A nice place to relax with a glass of wine and listen to music or read a book. During winter, we will have the fire going. Bliss!

more pics....

This is the balcony off our bedroom.
And this is the view (will be even better once mowed). It is soooo peaceful sitting out there, listening to the birds and the creek.

This space is where the kitchen will be.

Lots of pics of inside

So here are a few snaps from today of the internals. I think the bathrooms look pretty good, if I do say so myself :)

I finally managed to get over to the house with a camera, rather than relying on the very time pressed Chris to take them!

Here is our baby girl on site!! Hmmm...look at all those teeth!

This is the toilet for the main bathroom - I was adamant that we have the toilet separate from the bathroom.
And this is our main bathroom (which could be a misnomer as it is in fact quite a bit smaller than our ensuite!) The bath is tiny - Immie size - but really, we only need it to bath the kids and possibly the cat every so often.
The main bathroom shower is just to the left.
These at the tiles in the niche in our ensuite shower, which is a double shower with shower heads coming down from the ceiling and also from the walls.

Our ensuite with the spa bath. The shower is to the right and the vanity will be to the left.

More internals

Here are a few extra photos of the inside:
*the fireplace frame in our lounge room
*the plastered fireplace
*our front door from the outside
*the laundry looking outside

We have finished the sheeting inside and the plasterer has now started. He will plaster all the walls and ceilings and then add the cornices.

The kitchen guy has been and has measured up and will come back to us with a drawing of the design. We have also been getting quotes on the balustrading and the stairs.

We are getting there!

Plastering

It's been quite some time since I last posted and that has mostly been due to the fact that we have been plastering for what seems like an eternity! This house is so huge and every wall has to be done twice (front and back) so it is just taking forever. Plus there was christmas etc in there.

However, we are almost done thankfully and the professionals are coming next week to "set" the plaster and to afix the cornices. I LOVE our cornices. They are quite art deco looking and have three steps to them. Very different but super classy.

Here are a few pictures to show what we have been doing. The first is of the doorway into the main bathroom, the second of the downstairs living area (the stairs to the left lead to the entrance and the main structure is the walk in pantry - plus you can see where we will eventually have a built in aquarium on the outer wall of the pantry), the third is of the guest ensuite and the final is of the entrance into the media/games room.

Inside....bathrooms

Here are a few pics from inside.

We have done the water proofing and tiling of the walls.

The first couple of pics are of our ensuite bathroom with the spa bath and the double shower.

The last pic is of the bath in the kids bathroom
