More internals

Here are a few extra photos of the inside:
*the fireplace frame in our lounge room
*the plastered fireplace
*our front door from the outside
*the laundry looking outside

We have finished the sheeting inside and the plasterer has now started. He will plaster all the walls and ceilings and then add the cornices.

The kitchen guy has been and has measured up and will come back to us with a drawing of the design. We have also been getting quotes on the balustrading and the stairs.

We are getting there!

Plastering

It's been quite some time since I last posted and that has mostly been due to the fact that we have been plastering for what seems like an eternity! This house is so huge and every wall has to be done twice (front and back) so it is just taking forever. Plus there was christmas etc in there.

However, we are almost done thankfully and the professionals are coming next week to "set" the plaster and to afix the cornices. I LOVE our cornices. They are quite art deco looking and have three steps to them. Very different but super classy.

Here are a few pictures to show what we have been doing. The first is of the doorway into the main bathroom, the second of the downstairs living area (the stairs to the left lead to the entrance and the main structure is the walk in pantry - plus you can see where we will eventually have a built in aquarium on the outer wall of the pantry), the third is of the guest ensuite and the final is of the entrance into the media/games room.

Outside

And here are a few pics of the outside.

We have started the final roofing above the garage door and will install the actual door shortly. We have also got a front door and back door (photos to come soon) so we will actually be at lock up! finally! we are currently in the process of getting quotes for the gyprock, ducted vacuuming and timber floors.

The render on the house is not the final colour. It still needs to be painted. We are thinking a darker colour at this stage.

Inside

Well, its been a while since I posted but bub has kept me rather busy lately. Lots has been going on at the house, mostly the internals. We have fitted out the bathrooms and most of the plumbing and about half of the wiring has been done. We have also filled in the front section of the house so it is flatter now.

RENDER DONE

The render is now finished - yay! this is not the final colour. we need to paint it but will wait for a while before doing so as there may be cracks we need to fill as the house settles.

The first pic shows the garage and media room above it. the second pic shows the entrance and the fourth bed and formal lounge to the left.

The third pic is taken from near the creek line and shows the back & side of the house.

The final photo is of the back of the house and shows our bedroom and balcony plus the downtairs dining and alfresco area.
